Many people spend significant time and resources trying to address symptoms of imbalance and disease by experimenting with specialized diets, supplements, cleanses etc. Occasionally this hit or miss approach can produce favorable results.
However, more often than not, if you have a significant illness, allergy, or imbalance that has been going on for some time, the “trial and error” process can be a frustrating and laborious process.
I work to eliminate the guessing and work through a Medical Director program which allows me to request functional lab tests on your behalf. As a FDN-P I am trained to look with a functional nutrition lens at functional labs on your behalf.
Based on the information we gather I will put together a personalized protocol, designed to support your health.
My focus revolves around you specifically. I don’t work with “done for you” protocols, which are common with cleanses and “one size fits all” programs. I work with the bio-individual needs of each client, taking into account that everyone has complex individual needs. I generally work in three month increments and check in with clients regularly to help make “course corrections” if needed. My priority when working together is to ensure that you are getting the right support throughout our time working together.
All the systems in the body are connected! I find that clients uncover their best results when they address their health on many levels.
My focus revolves around addressing a combination of issues like hormonal imbalances, immune dysfunction, toxicity, deficiency or digestive imbalance. Using my training in both Ayurveda and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, I use the D.R.E.S.S.D. model to help support clients as they correct imbalances. This is a holistic approach that uses strategies focused on balancing the body with proper diet, rest, exercise, supplements, stress relief and detoxification support to help people heal from the ground up.
I support you as you work to uncover and
address the root of your health issue rather than
continuously addressing individual symptoms.
Hippocrates, the father of natural medicine once said over 2500 years ago, “All disease begins in the gut.” The truth is that our gut is the foundation of our body’s health. Gut imbalance are at the root of most common sources of ill health in modern humans. Problems stemming from the gut can affect all areas of your body. Common symptoms can include, neurotransmitter problems, digestive problems, hormone dysregulation, and leaky gut. You may experience these problems as brain fog, behavior disorders...
This is one area where my “test don’t guess” motto is especially effective. Laboratory based food sensitivity panels can help definitively identify underlying causes of inflammation. I also look at gastrointestinal labs to help understand the causes of gut dysbiosis.
Your hormones govern the vitality of your entire body. These are master signaling chemical messengers in the body secreted by various glands and organs including the adrenals, thyroid, pituitary, ovaries, testicals and pancreas.
Your endocrine system works like an orchestra to control the level of
hormones in the body. When all parts are in harmony, your body feels balanced, but one or two elements out of tune can throw the whole orchestra off. Hormone health can be a critical piece of the puzzle for most people experiencing imbalances in the body.
Without the correct micronutrient balances in the body it can become very difficult to heal tissue. I find it very crucial to address micronutrient balance when working to overcome imbalances in the body. I work with a specific lab that looks at 31 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants and metabolites so as to understand the cellular function in someone’s body.
Correlating micronutrient deficiencies not only slows aging and degenerative disease progression, it can also prevent as well as repair cellular dysfunction and by extension, disease.

Inflammation and inflammatory response
Most clients with chronic issues of imbalance have significant inflammation in their tissues. As a result, I find it necessary to support people in removing inflammatory “triggers” that create cytokine cascades in the body. I encourage all clients to start with removing inflammatory foods and also work to decrease inflammation with herbs and supplements.
I do not diagnose illness and disease.
If something is beyond my scope of practice
I can work with you and your existing doctor,
or I can refer you to one.
